Our commitment
We aim to make our festival available to all. Although that’s tricky on a greenfield site, we think it’s worth doing everything we can to make the festival accessible.
We’re working towards the Attitude is Everything Bronze Charter (as at May 2026) and hope to make an announcement on that soon.

Mobility
The site itself, and all main events, offers access for those with reduced mobility including wheelchair users. However, if the weather turns out bad, the ground itself may become difficult to negotiate. Stewards are there to help in any emergency! However, please note that even in good weather, the ground is not completely flat, as it is farmland which is normally occupied by sheep.
We have onsite transport for anyone who needs it – we have three golf buggies including one wheelchair adapted..
‘We really appreciated the attention to needs of disabled folkies! Loos, access flat field, and especially the response of the stewards when entering any venue, brilliant!“
Specific facilities you can expect during your stay include:
As well as friendly volunteers, eager to help, we’ve also taken the following steps.
Accessible toilets
In the festival village, and around the site.
Travel
We have accessible parking spaces and a drop off area right outside the main entrance.
Parking
Convenient disabled parking and drop off at box-office entrance if preferred.
Dedicated Camping Area
Camping, in a prime position, can be provided on application. This has accessible loos and showers.
Assistance Dogs
Are allowed if clearly identified as such. Sadly no other pets are allowed on site.
Charging
We have a central designated area for charging mobility scooters.
Viewing
Ask to be seated in the accessible area in the main venue. Our volunteers will be happy to assist.
Hearing Access
In partnership with Open Door Audio, we will be providing an Auracast broadcast at the Kingmaker Stage.
You can access the Auracast broadcast in the following ways:
- Auracast-enabled hearing aids, cochlear implants, earbuds, or headphones
Connect directly to the broadcast for a seamless listening experience. - Hearing aids or cochlear implants with a T-loop (telecoil)
Open Door Audio can provide a receiver pack and neck loop. The receiver wirelessly receives the Auracast broadcast and transmits the audio directly to your hearing device via the telecoil. - Standard wired headphones (3.5mm jack)
Bring your own wired headphones or borrow a pair from Open Door Audio. Simply plug them into a borrowed receiver pack to listen to the broadcast
To register your interest in accessing the Auracast broadcast, please speak to a volunteer at the venue.
If you have any questions about Auracast or how to access the broadcast at Warwick Folk Festival, please contact info@opendooraudio.co.uk
Personal Assistants
Nimbus operate the access card system for us where you can be authorised for a free plus one for just Warwick Folk Festival or pay a small fee for a card that covers other events. Further information on the tickets page.
Information
We aim to supply information in an accessible way. Please ask if there’s a format we can supply that would be better for you. We’ll try turn that round within a week.
Stage Lighting & Sound
In the unlikely event that one of our acts would like to use strobe lighting, this will be clearly indicated on the programme and at the entrance to the venue.
We have a supply of disposable earplugs available on request from the venue manager.
Special Health needs
We have a first aid tent and a quiet area for those who need it. We have no mains power but have electricity via a generator if required.
Counter heights
There is a lower section bar counter for wheelchair access. Other points of interaction are at a low counter where possible – otherwise, staff are briefed to make other steps to engage.
We are working to make our festival site inclusive and accessible to all. If you can help us to do that or have any ideas please do let us know.

Scooter Hire
Wenman Healthcare can provide scooters for £20 per day with a £200 deposit. If you would like one please email Hayley or call 01926 624432.
Contact
At the festival, Sally will be our Access Coordinator but in the meantime, if you have any questions not covered above, then please contact Mandy directly on 07761 988234. The office is not manned all the time but if you leave a message we’ll get back to you.
Ideally, email us at access@warwickfolkfestival.co.uk.
We are keen to hear your specific requirements and will do our best to accommodate them.

‘Can I just say a massive thank you for displaying the info about accessibility so clearly, but also the consideration that has noticeably gone into how to meet disabled people’s needs.
As a Mum to a child who had become a wheelchair user in the last few months, now looking at 2026 festivals, you stand out.
…just reading through your website has convinced me Warwick would be much lower stress for us than other options.
…it appears children’s tickets would be free (honestly you’re winning all the prizes with this single Mum).‘

Website accessibility statement
We’re working on the accessibility of this page (we’re aware contrast could be better) as well as the rest of the website. If you spot anything we could improve, please let us know in case it’s not already on our to do list. We will reassess our efforts at the end of the 2026.
