Red Hat Rapper are a young rapper team based mostly in Yorkshire. After meeting at Whitby Folk Week’s Yoof Club, where they attended some rapper workshops, they were inspired to form a team of their own and in their debut year were the winners of the youth competition at DERT 2025 (Dancing England Rapper Tournament). Their dance is made up of figures learnt from various rapper teams and they also have some Cotswold jigs and clog dances in their repertoire. Look out for their stripy black and red socks and red sashes.
