I have been singing folk songs all my life and sea shanties for over 60 years. I live in Cullercoats on the North East coast and sing lots of ‘Geordie’ songs
too. I have written 3 books on sea songs and shanties and recorded over 20 albums. I sang in a duo with Johnny Collins for 35 years until his death in 2009.
I currently sing in 2 trios, JIB and The Keelers and in a duo with Graeme Knights. I have been coming to WFF since the 1970’s mostly as a guest
and it is one of my favourites.
